It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (1921 – 2021).

It is with deep regret that His Royal Highness, Prince Philip passed away on, 9th April, 2021.

There will be a wreath laying at the Toll Bar Square at 7pm, 10th April, 2021. Social distancing will be observed.


Following the receipt of HM. GOV.UK guidelines received from Broxtowe Borough Council, in order to comply with COVID-19 restrictions, Books of Condolences will not be available in public buildings for people to sign in person.

The guidelines from the Royal Website is as follows:

During the current public health situation, Books of Condolence will not be available for the public to sign.

Members of the public wishing to express their condolences are encouraged to send a message to the Royal Family via the online Book of Condolence on the Royal Website
