The Chapel on the Hill, Kimberley is a fantastic Grade II listed building and a perfect wedding venue for couples who like the idea of a traditional feel to their big day but don’t want a religious wedding.
The 19th century chapel stands on a hilltop, providing magnificent panoramic views over Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, and has historic external and internal features that have been beautifully restored.
The Chapel is suitable for Humanist and Civil ceremonies for Namings, Renewing Vows, Weddings and Funerals. The venue is LGBT friendly, with disabled access and toilet facilities, complete with baby changing facilities.

The cost for the hire of the Chapel in 2023 is currently £500 and there is a £200 deposit required to be paid to Kimberley Town Council to secure your booking. The balance is to be paid 28 days prior to your ceremony. Please note there is a £50 administration charge for cancelled bookings.
Please note, the cost of hire of the Chapel will be adjusted in line with inflation each year. If you wish to cancel your ceremony 90 days notice is required prior to your ceremony date to avoid loss of your deposit.
You will also have to book the Nottingham Registrar or approved Wedding Celebrant to perform the ceremony, which is a separate booking.
The Chapel seats up to 70 people, there is limited parking, access is via the top gate Knowle Hill, Kimberley, NG16 2PZ. Only Biodegradable Confetti is to be used. Kimberley Town Council hold a No Smoking Policy.
The cost for the hire of the Chapel for a funeral is £145 (2023 prices).

Please note: The Registrar and the Chapel are two separate bookings.
