Many of us have had our lives affected by the Covid-19 pandemic over the last 2 years, and many of us have lost close friends or family to the virus.
As a mark of remembrance to those in Kimberley and Swingate who died as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Kimberley Town Council has planted a Mountain Ash in the memorial garden at the Chapel on the Hill Cemetery. This peaceful location will provide a quiet place for people to pause and remember the lives of those taken by Covid-19.
On Saturday 20th August at 11.00am there will be a short dedication and unveiling of a plaque, led by Rev. Barbara Holbrook, as a memorial to those who died. All residents are welcome.
The memorial garden is located at the bottom of the hill next to the Broomhill Road gate – see Pin in map, below. If driving, you can park at the Chapel car park (via Knowle Hill) and walk down to the garden.
